How to Expertly Insulate Walls: A Comprehensive Guide

Most older Central Valley homes were built with little or no wall insulation. The good news: you don't have to tear out drywall to fix it. Dense-pack retrofit insulation gets the job done through small access holes.
The process is drill, fill, patch, and texture. We drill a small hole into each stud cavity, dense-pack Greenfiber cellulose until the cavity is completely full, then plug, patch, and texture the hole to match your wall.
Dense-packing matters: the cellulose is packed to a density that resists settling, so you don't get gaps sagging open a few years later. That density also gives you excellent sound control.
For plaster, stucco, or drywall homes, retrofit wall insulation adds real comfort — warmer walls in winter, cooler in summer, and quieter rooms — without a remodel.
