How to Choose an Insulation Contractor in Fresno (Without Getting Burned)

Insulation is one of those jobs where you can't easily see the quality after the drywall or attic hatch closes. That makes choosing the right contractor especially important. Here's the checklist we'd use.

Check the license. In California, insulation work should be done by a licensed contractor. Ask for the number — ours is #1002958 — and verify it. A real license means accountability.

Ask about materials by name. 'Fiberglass' isn't an answer. Ask which product and why. We use Knauf blown-in fiberglass and Greenfiber cellulose, and we can tell you exactly why for your home.

Insist on air sealing. A contractor who blows insulation over an unsealed attic is leaving savings on the table. Sealing leaks first is what makes insulation perform.

Get it in writing. R-values, scope, materials, and price should all be on a written estimate — free, with no pressure to sign.

Look for local references. Forty years of Central Valley homes is a track record you can check. Ask for local addresses and reviews.
